I think, but I'm not sure that the Ewok movies (there were a few of them, but I don't remember the names of them) came out before the cartoon show. The cartoon was different from the movies in that; first of all the movies were not cartoons, second in the movies none of the Ewoks spoke, where in the cartoons they did. This was done for our benefit, how long do you think a 5 or 6 year old would sit and watch a cartoon where no one said anything exept yub, yub, and eeichi wa wa?
